LinkedIn, a popular social media platform with over 1 billion users worldwide, is gearing up to introduce a new feature that will allow users to play games while browsing through posts, commenting, and job hunting. While many users are excited about this addition, some are concerned that games might distract from the platform's professional focus.

According to a post by Nima Owji on X (formerly Twitter), who keeps track of upcoming features in various apps, a recent version of the LinkedIn app contained code indicating the company's experimentation with three games: Queens, Inference, and Crossclimb.
The tipster also mentioned that companies may be ranked based on the gaming scores of their employees, with higher scores leading to higher rankings for the company. While a LinkedIn spokesperson confirmed to Tech Crunch that the platform is indeed working on integrating games, no official launch date has been announced for this feature.
The spokesperson clarified that the images shared in the post are not from the latest version of the app but did not comment on Microsoft's involvement in developing this feature. While some may argue that games don't belong on a professional platform like LinkedIn, others believe that educational games could help users acquire new skills and knowledge while having fun.
