In a heartwarming gesture of solidarity, chipmaker Nvidia, together with its global workforce, has contributed a substantial $15 million to non-profit organizations supporting civilians impacted by the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas. This generous donation stems from the contributions of thousands of employees spanning over 30 countries, with the company matching and doubling their initial $5 million donation, resulting in a total contribution of $10 million. This initiative stands out as the largest humanitarian fundraiser in Nvidia's 30-year history.

Expressing gratitude for the widespread support received from Nvidia families worldwide, Gideon Rosenberg, Nvidia's deputy general counsel, acknowledged the collective prayers and hopes for the safe return of their colleague, Avinatan Or, and other hostages held by Hamas.
Avinatan Or, a 30-year-old engineer at Nvidia since April 2022, was captured by Hamas at the Nova music festival on October 7, along with his girlfriend Noa Argamani and approximately 240 others. While some hostages have been released, the situation remains tense.
The donated funds are allocated to various organizations in the region, including Asor Fund (JGive), American Friends of Magen David Adom, Doctors Without Borders, Friends of United Hatzalah, IsraAID (US) Global Humanitarian Assistance, Jewish Agency for Israel, World Central Kitchen, and Zaka. This diverse support network aims to address the multifaceted needs of those affected by the conflict.
In addition to financial aid, Nvidia has extended practical assistance by donating hundreds of computers to families evacuated from the north and south of Israel. The company has also provided thousands of hot meals from its Yokneam office cafeteria, showcasing a comprehensive commitment to assisting communities in distress.
Nvidia's dedication to humanitarian efforts during this challenging period reflects the company's commitment to making a positive impact on a global scale. The significant financial and practical support underscores the collective strength and compassion of Nvidia and its employees in times of crisis.
