This decision follows a trend in the industry where major tech companies, including Google and Amazon, have also announced layoffs in various departments.

In a blog post, Riot Games CEO Dylan Jadeja explained that the adjustments are a response to the company's significant growth in recent years.

With the workforce doubling, the company found itself working on numerous projects without a clear focus on what players truly needed.

Jadeja expressed the company's commitment to refining its efforts, concentrating on areas that directly impact players' experiences. The goal is to prioritize projects that matter the most to the gaming community while minimizing investments in less critical areas.

This strategic move aims to navigate challenges in the market and ensure sustained success for Riot Games in the evolving gaming industry.
