The new AI assistant, still in its testing phase, is integrated into the workflows of Reader and Acrobat. It offers various capabilities, such as summarizing long documents, providing insights, answering questions, and helping users clean up information for sharing in emails, presentations, and reports.

By harnessing the power of Generative AI, Adobe aims to unlock new value from the vast amount of information contained in over three trillion PDFs worldwide. This assistant is based on AI and machine learning models that also underpin Acrobat Liquid Mode, which enables responsive reading experiences for PDFs on mobile devices.

Adobe's proprietary models provide a deep understanding of PDF content, ensuring the quality and reliability of the outputs generated by the AI assistant. Abhigyan Modi, senior vice president of Document Cloud at Adobe, highlighted the potential of Generative AI to enhance document experiences, transforming PDFs into actionable knowledge and professional-looking content.

These new capabilities introduced by Adobe's AI assistant are just the beginning, promising to deliver even more value to users of Reader and Acrobat applications and services in the future.
