On February 2, the stadium-sized asteroid made its way past Earth, but there was no need for concern as it maintained a safe distance of approximately 2.9 million kilometers. To put that into perspective, it's more than seven times the distance between Earth and the Moon.
The images captured by NASA provide valuable insights into the asteroid's characteristics and trajectory. Despite its size and proximity, 2008 OS7 posed no threat to our planet. Through advanced technology and careful observation, NASA continues to monitor celestial bodies, ensuring the safety of Earth and its inhabitants.
