Gehani explains that AI will revolutionize PC usage, offering personalized experiences across various customer segments. The company's upcoming AI-enhanced PCs will cater to consumers, enterprises, data centers, and small and medium businesses (SMBs).
He emphasizes the potential of AI to deliver tailored experiences that boost productivity and creativity. While AI is predominantly cloud-based, it is expected to transition to devices through edge computing, offering faster and more efficient processing.
HP outlines several use cases for AI PCs, including meeting summarization and enhanced graphics design capabilities. Features like auto framing and background noise reduction during video calls, once reliant on cloud processing, will soon be handled on-device, reducing latency.
The launch of HP's Omen Transcend 14 targets both gamers and content creators, offering premium design, cutting-edge hardware, and AI functionalities. Gehani highlights that these laptops are designed for users seeking improved performance, productivity, and longer battery life.
In recent years, HP has seen growth in its PC market share in India, particularly in the gaming PC category. Gaming laptops currently make up 15 to 16 percent of the overall PC market and are expected to increase to 20 to 25 percent in the coming years.
