They are advised to ensure that their AI systems do not produce responses that break Indian laws or jeopardize the fairness of the electoral process.

Platforms offering AI services, especially those still in testing phases, must seek approval from the government before providing these services in India. They should also clearly indicate any potential errors or unreliability in the output they generate.
Additionally, the government requires these platforms to include a traceability feature. This means adding identifiable markers to content generated by their services, making it possible to trace back to the person responsible for creating misinformation or deepfakes.
